about
Eclectic Manchester ‘duo’ Dischi provides all the vibes with new single ‘PrimeTime Dischi Sippin’. The duo, consisting of 21 year old Demi Baitsy and Chia Kali, are both born and living in Manchester with the pair only starting properly recording music together a month ago, but Dischi was manifested a few years ago.
The new age disco-movement has gained momentum over the past few months, with both girls putting in all the work producing, recording, editing, shooting and creating general musical fusion to build and establish the timeless Dischi archive.
The sound is an electro-soul badman fusion with eerie bells and an infectious 100 BPM beat.
The single will be released through PropaTop Records (PROPA11) which is an independent record label founded by Manchester’s own Liam ‘Skittles’ Kelly. The label aims to allow artists to showcase their talents and express their art in a safe and informed manner. No dodgy contracts, no publishing theft and no dangling carrots. All veils removed. Family transparency aside a mental disco.
lyrics
Stop steppin on my toes
Why you steppin on this gold AHHH
Stop steppin on my toes
Why you steppin on this gold
Make no assumptions we don't function like no other
Don't get comfy we are hungry for the power
Stop steppin on my toes
Why you steppin on this gold AHHH
Stop steppin on my toes
Why you steppin on this gold
Make no assumption we don't function like no other
Don't get comfy we are hungry for the power
Cherries growing on the cherry tree
Make it rain sun rays
Turn it to the cherry V
Not enough hours in the day
For my sway
Still need time to lay
But more to play
Sippin on the black grape today
Sippin on the black grape
Stay hydrated like hydrangers
Dischi is timeless
Time aint wasted
I need to hide got so many faces
PrimeTime Dischi
We're outrageous
Sippin on the black grape
Sippin on the black grape today
Sky is peach and grey
I feel safe
I might stay
Just another lazy daze
In this purple haze
Drifting from place to place
Sippin on the black grape today
Sippin on the black grape
Stop steppin on my toes
Why you steppin on this gold AHHH
Stop steppin on my toes
Why you steppin on this gold
Make no assumptions we don't function like no other
Don't get comfy we are hungry for the power
Wibble wobble wibble wobble dischi on your plate
Wibble wobble wibble wobble dischi in your face
Wibble wobble wibble wobble dischi make you sway
Wibble wobble wibble wobble dischi make you stay
Wibble wobble wibble wobble dischi on your plate
Wibble wobble wibble wobble dischi in your face
Wibble wobble wibble wobble dischi make you sway
Wibble wobble wibble wobble sippin on the grape
Stop steppin on my toes
Why you steppin on this gold AHHH
Stop steppin on my toes
Why you steppin on this gold
Make no assumptions we don't function like no other
Don't get comfy we are hungry for the power
Defeating time and space
Fly like plane
Am I sane
Feel the bass
Can't catch my pace
Can't be tamed
Sippin on the black grape
Defeating time and space
Fly like plane
Am I sane
Feel the bass
Can't catch my pace
Can't be tamed

All the tracks are great but Stepper is the standout for me! pounding syncopated kicks, rolling handdrums and playful sample work, dancefloor destroyer. Jack G.
